The Afrox team will be out in force at the Nampo 2014 Harvest Day with a broad range of products and services on display that underpin this year’s theme of “Quality you can trust”.
Mark Perfett, Afrox Events Manager, says Afrox products are designed for optimum quality, performance, safety and consistent reliability.
“The Afrox Quality Management System ensures that all products are supplied to international, national and company standards,” he says. “The combination of these quality products, first-class customer service, efficient systems and an underlying commitment to safety, ensure a superior customer experience.”
An exciting new addition to the Afrox stand this year is its locally manufactured SMOOTHFLO™ regulator, hailed as the most technologically advanced and engineered gas pressure regulator ever to hit the global industrial market. SMOOTHFLO™ is one of the safest gas regulators in its class, offering a multi-stage-like performance from a single-stage regulator.
Also recently launched to South African industry and on show at Nampo will be Afrox’s GoldFlo bronze-coated GMAW wire for high integrity work. Its improved chemical composition levels ensures improved weld metal de-oxidization and an excellent choice for welding metals with a medium to high presence of mill scale or rust. The bronze coating enables welding of current densities up to 25% above normal copper coated wire, achieving a higher melting and deposition rate and increasing welding speeds by up to 20%.
As part of its total welding solution, this year’s Afrox stand will also showcase some key welding consumables for the agricultural sector, including stainless steel low hydrogen electrodes, in our new DriPac packaging which is good for extra protection against any moisture pick-up , as well as hardfacing electrodes, ideal for repairing farm equipment. Vitemax, Afrox’s leading premium electrodes for mild steel application, will be on offer, as well as Transarc 6013, a cost-effective alternative electrode.
Agrigas, the company’s exclusive industrial gas offer, provides farmers with the flexibility to keep cylinders without having to pay a monthly rental for cylinders they do not use. The rental fee is included in the gas price and is only charged when the gas is refilled. Currently this offer is available in oxygen and dissolved acetylene (DA) in the following sizes: oxygen 10.2kg and 4,6kg and DA 8kg, 6.9kg and 4.6kg.
For small MIG & TIG welding requirements, Afrox offers its new Portashield® & PortaTig® shielding gases in highly portable 1,8 kg & 2,0 kg cylinders respectively. Refillable Portashield® & PortaTig® cylinders use the same valve as the large shielding gas cylinders, eliminating the need for an additional regulator. This convenient and cost-effective offering incorporates a once-off non-refundable service and maintenance fee for the lifetime of the cylinder.
Afrox is the largest supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in South Africa under its well-known Handigas brand that embraces a wide range of Handigas products that can be used either in an industrial or farming environment, such as for chicken broiler heating. The Afrox stand will showcase a display of Heatwave home appliances that make use of Handigas.
Visitors to the stand will be interested to learn more about Afrox’s Service Exchange scheme (Servex™), acknowledged by the market as a genuine value add. Under this scheme, standard welding and cutting equipment that is not in good working order can be instantly exchanged for a reconditioned equivalent at a reduced price, without having to wait for repairs to be carried out. The major advantage of the Servex™ scheme is that it ensures welding and cutting equipment is always in good working order, making it easy to exchange an old or damaged piece of Afrox equipment for a new, safety-certified product at a well discounted price.
“We’re fully geared up to support the needs of customers in the agricultural sector across a spectrum of gas, welding and PPE requirements and we’re particularly excited about the new products being showcased this year,” concludes Perfett. “A professional technical team will be in attendance to answer questions, sell products from the stand and offer special prices. There will also be giveaways and competitions, including a Spin The Wheel competition. The team will also provide one-on-one demonstrations throughout the show’s duration.”
The Afrox range of welding and cutting equipment, together with associated consumables, is available through co-ops, certain local distributors and Afrox retail outlets in the region.
