Afrox is southern Africa's leading manufacturer and marketer of gases and welding products.
The most important contributors to Afrox's success in South Africa as well as the rest of sub-Saharan Africa, are our people and the leadership skills of our managers. We rely on the skills, experience, motivation and innovation of our people, together with our extensive technology, plant, equipment and financial resources to develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers, now and in the future.
The challenge of organisations to meet the increasing demands of customers and globalisation in both markets and technology, and to win business is relentless. The industries in which we work require adherence to clearly defined and consistently high service, product and delivery standards. Hence, you will find in Afrox a vigorous performance management process which emphasises team and individual accountability for results.
The continued growth of our business is dependent on a team of gifted individuals that enable us to meet the business needs of today, and lead us into a future of continued prosperity. Afrox therefore looks carefully to identify and select people whom we believe will fit this profile.
Afrox offers bursaries to full time students in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial and Electrical Engineering. Higher Grade Mathematics and Higher Grade Science are pre-requisites.
The company also runs the "Afrox Graduate in Training" programme for graduates in the fields specified above and also the Accounting TOP Programme.
